How long are the sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes long. Longer sessions can be arranged if requested.
Do you accept insurance?
I choose not to be a provider on insurance plans. However, most clients who choose to use their insurance can receive reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. I give my clients a monthly statement which they send to their insurance company. I work on a fee-for-service basis. Please be aware that when using your insurance, you authorize release of your private health information to the insurance company. Some clients choose to pay out-of-pocket to avoid release of information.
What are your fees?
The initial assessment is $175.00 per session. Individual sessions thereafter are $160. For couples and family therapy, the fee is $160. We (my interns and I) accept a limited number of clients for reduced fees. A reduced fee application must be completed to demonstrate financial need. If you believe you may qualify for a reduced fee, please bring this up during the initial contact.
What are your hours?
Sessions are scheduled on Monday and Wednesday, from between 10 am and 6:00 pm (the last session of the day), and on Tuesday and Thursday between 1pm and 6:00pm. Sessions are not held on Friday or the weekend.
How soon can I get an appointment?
This varies: sometimes the same week, sometimes longer. Please call the office and your question will be answered promptly.
What is the frequency and length of time I will be in therapy?
The duration of therapy depends on your goals and the nature of the problem you wish to work on. Generally, we would meet once a week till your problem is adequately resolved.
